Day 1: San Pedro Sula – Lancetilla – Tela
Transfer from San Pedro Sula in the way over we will be enjoying the paradisiacal and popular spot of the oil African palm trees (Elaeis guineensis) one of Honduras most profitable agricultural products in route we visit the Lancetilla Botanical Garden the second largest tropical garden in the world was designed in 1926 by the Tela Railroad Company. Here you will find a huge collection of fruit trees, flowering trees, hardwoods, palm trees, bamboo, and other assorted medicinal and poisonous plant in Latin America named after the indigenous Lancetilla palm tree. Feel free to sample fallen fruit as the Mangosteen trees (Garcinia Mangostana) a Malaysian native considered by some connoisseurs to produce the finest fruit on the planet.
